Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 May 2026
1. Who we are
Verlox is a desktop application that lets you talk to your terminal using AI. It is operated by Felix Cristobal, an independent developer based in Spain. References to "Verlox", "we", "us" and "our" mean this service. References to "you" mean the person using it.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Verlox. If you are signing up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. The service
Verlox is a desktop application that turns plain-English requests into shell commands and runs them on your own computer. Commands are produced by a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic). Verlox is provided as is and will continue to evolve, including adding, changing, or removing features.
4. Your account
To use Verlox you create an account with your email and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us through our GitHub issues if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Verlox for anything illegal under Spanish, EU, or your local law;
- abuse the AI provider's API (excessive automated load, scraping, redistribution of model output as your own AI service);
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service;
- use Verlox to attack or harm other systems or people;
- impersonate someone else or misuse another person's account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
6. The AI's output is the AI's output
Verlox uses a third-party AI to suggest commands. The AI can be wrong, miss context, or propose harmful or destructive commands. You are responsible for what runs on your computer. Plan Mode is provided as a safety review; please use it for anything irreversible. Verlox is not liable for damage to your data, system, or accounts caused by commands you chose to run.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Free plan. Includes 100 messages per calendar month. No card required.
Pro plan. $15 per month, billed monthly through Stripe (Stripe, Inc. / Stripe Payments Europe Ltd). When you subscribe, you authorise automatic monthly charges to your payment method until you cancel.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the app's account menu. Cancellation stops future charges. You keep Pro access until the end of the current paid period, then return to Free automatically.
Refunds. We do not normally issue partial refunds for unused days in the current billing period. If something is genuinely broken or you had a real issue, contact us via GitHub issues and we will work with you in good faith.
Price changes. If we change Pro pricing, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before it applies to your subscription.
Taxes. Prices are shown excluding any taxes you may owe. Stripe applies taxes based on your billing location where required.
8. EU right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services. Because Verlox Pro is a digital service delivered immediately, by upgrading to Pro you expressly request that the service begin during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that this means you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. You can still cancel future renewals at any time as described above.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you type into Verlox (your prompts, files you attach, the commands you run). By using Verlox, you grant us the limited right to process this content as needed to provide the service, including sending your prompt to the AI provider so it can answer. We do not claim any other rights to your content and we do not use it to train AI models ourselves.
10. Disclaimer
Verlox is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI's output will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to Verlox is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or harm to other systems caused by commands the AI suggested and you chose to run.
This clause does not limit liability that cannot be limited under Spanish or EU law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Termination
You can stop using Verlox and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we decide to discontinue the service. Where possible we will give reasonable notice.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Continued use of Verlox after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you can also bring claims in the courts of your country of residence.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. Contact
The current contact channel is github.com/TylerES777/Verlox/issues. Once a dedicated business email and address are in place, those will replace this section.
